Haley Alonso was all in after her husband became a Mets legend.
Pete Alonso's three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Brewers gave the Mets a 4-2 victory in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series, saving the season from ending with just two outs remaining.
On her Instagram Story, Haley reposted a video of Alonso's home run with the Mets leading 2-0.
“Insane!!!!!!!!” she wrote.
“It's going to be cold,” Haley added in another slide, then played the home run with Mets radio voice Howie Rose on the phone, exclaiming, “He did it!” Pete Alonso hit the most memorable home run of his career! ”
She also shared a photo of Alonso and Mets manager Carlos Mendoza celebrating together after the win.
“Mendy and Pete,” she wrote, adding two teary-eyed emojis.
A significant outburst for Alonso at American Family Field was unlikely for a number of reasons.
His opponent was Milwaukee closer Devin Williams, one of the best players in the game, and Alonso was in a slump.
The slugger hadn't hit an extra-base hit in the past two weeks.
Just an inning earlier, he had dropped a foul pop-up, but luckily it didn't increase the Mets' lead by more than two runs.
“I wanted to be there,” Alonso said after the game. “I wanted to contribute to the team. I want to contribute in a positive way.”
When Pete unveiled the Mets' playoff pumpkins, Haley played her own role in the team's success. He said he and his wife chose the first baseman position.
The home run and win extend Alonso's Mets career by at least a few more games, and the team will play the rival Phillies in the National League, starting Saturday in Philadelphia.
Alonso, 29, is set to become a free agent, and no matter how the rest of the postseason plays out, he just gave himself a hell of a bargaining chip.
Mets owner Steve Cohen was ecstatic while his players danced in the locker room under a champagne shower.
“This is just a storybook script. No Hollywood screenwriter could have written anything better than this,” he said.
