Cause of Death for “Good Times’ Star John Amos Revealed

The cause of death of longtime actor and 1970s comedy star John Amos has been announced.

Amos' son, Kelly Christopher, is listed on the death certificate as the person who reported the death to authorities.

Oddly enough, Amos' daughter Shannon didn't learn of her father's death until her brother announced the actor's death this week.

On her Instagram account, Shannon lamented her strained relationship with her brother, which led to news of her father's death being announced so late.

“I have no words…Our family received the heartbreaking news that our father, John Allen Amos Jr., has transitioned on August 21st,” Shannon wrote on Instagram. “Like many of you, we learned of this incident through the media and were left devastated and with many questions about how this happened 45 days ago.”

Shannon added that her father died without any family members present, and she also accused her brother of elder abuse.
