Vice President Kamala Harris' lead among Hispanic voters is lower than the lead Joe Biden achieved in 2020, according to a Newsweek analysis.
Newsweek looked at national polls since Sept. 16 that show a breakdown of voting intentions based on race, and found Harris' average approval rating among Hispanic voters was 56%, higher than Biden's four years ago. This was a decrease from 59% for Mr.
Meanwhile, President Trump's approval rating is 38 points, the same level as in 2020.
Democrats have long warned of signs that Latino voters are turning toward Republicans. According to the Pew Research Center, Biden won more Hispanics in 2020 than he did in 2016, when Hillary Clinton won by 38 percentage points to Trump's 28%.
