Pelosi, tech executives to hold fundraiser for Harris campaign

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will join tech executives on Saturday to host a fundraiser for Vice President Harris, a person familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill.

The reception will be hosted by Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan, Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, and Aaron Levie, CEO of enterprise cloud company Box, in San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. local time. Pelosi will headline an event dubbed “Harris' Little Tech,” the person said.

This event is not the former House majority leader's first. Pelosi held a reception alongside Democratic candidates in San Francisco in August, bringing in more than $12 million for the vice president. Harris' campaign announced earlier this month that it had raised $361 million in August.

According to the campaign, Democrats have brought in more than $615 million since President Biden decided to withdraw from the race and endorse Harris. The campaign of her rival, former President Trump, announced this week that it had raised $160 million in September.

Mr. Trump is making inroads with conservative technology leaders in Silicon Valley. Earlier this summer, the former president raised $12 million at a fundraiser held at the home of investor and “All In Podcast” co-host David Sachs. He has also secured the support of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who also owns social platform X.

Ms. Harris also has connections in the technology industry, and her campaign has become popular with some executives in that field, as the number of former Democratic donors has shifted to the right.

The fundraiser was first reported by The New York Times.

The Hill has reached out to the Harris campaign and Pelosi's office for comment.
