NC Couple Donates Wedding Food to People Hit by Flooding

When a couple from Greensboro, North Carolina, had their wedding plans derailed by Hurricane Helen, they decided to help others instead of grieving.

Jessica Beebe and Will Landacre were ready for their big day after two years of planning, and everything was in place. changed WFMY reported Thursday as hurricane floodwaters swept through the venue in Independence, Virginia.

Randaker joined others in helping remove fallen trees from the road, and Beebe also joined in the cleanup.

The couple was still hopeful that their big day would come true. However, they ultimately had to cancel the rehearsal dinner, and then the entire event was canceled on the morning of the wedding day.

They set up a food distribution area in the grocery store parking lot where people came to pick up their meals.

Though their plans didn't turn out as expected, Landaker said: We hope that others will continue to work together as needed to resolve some of this harm. ”
