Trump intends to use military to round up opponents: Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen says in a new interview that if former President Trump is re-elected in November, he would use military force to “round up” his opponents.

“The big warning that I want people to understand is, if Donald Trump says something, stop trying to make sense of it. Stop trying to make it into some sort of normalcy. He What he said is what he's going to do,'' Cohen, who once served as President Trump's personal lawyer, said on MSNBC on Sunday.

“When he turns around and says soft words, just like the heads of his network and other critics, he uses SEAL Team 6 and the military to round up his critics and opponents. I know you mean it. Do it. And I say that from first-hand experience,” he continued in the comment. Highlighted by Mediaite.

Cohen, who served a three-year sentence after pleading guilty to federal campaign finance charges and testified against Trump in a separate case earlier this year, has become a vocal critic of the former president. . He recently said he would have to flee the country if President Trump wins this November.

The former Trump fixer's latest comments are reminiscent of statements from the former president's legal team. In January, amid President Trump's presidential immunity lawsuit, his team argued that he should be immune from prosecution even if he directed SEAL Team 6 to kill political opponents.

Cohen also said on MSNBC that while some Republicans are showing “loyalty” to Trump by refusing to admit he lost the election, “there are many Republicans who want domestic unity.” “Republicans,'' he claimed.

“This is very different from what Donald Trump is saying. Donald Trump continues to use that rhetoric of division and hate to make that bombastic statement,” Cohen said.

In a recent debate with Democratic challenger and President Trump's running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Trump did not address whether he lost the 2020 election.

“We're focused on the future,” Vance said.
