With less than a month left until the presidential election, leading counties in Pennsylvania are turning Republican, according to a new poll.

Former President Donald Trump won Erie and Northampton counties, which have voted for the state's winner in every election since 2008, according to Signal research. Trump received support from 49% of respondents to 48% who favored the Democratic presidential candidate. Considering the historical trend between Kamala Harris and President Trump, the difference in the election is likely to widen further.

The biggest issues for voters in lead counties were the economy and immigration, where Republicans were beating Democrats. Thirty-one percent of voters said inflation and the economy were their top concerns, and 24% said border security and immigration were their top concerns.
Trump beat Harris by 15 points on immigration and by 6 points on the economy.
The poll found that half of likely voters in Pennsylvania approved of President Trump's performance in office, while only 39% supported the current administration.
If Harris loses in Pennsylvania, her campaign will face intense criticism for choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz over Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (Democratic) as her running mate.
