It is important to be aware of the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN). Website Said:
Child sexual abuse is a form of child abuse that involves sexual activity with a minor. Children cannot consent to any form of sexual activity. When perpetrators interact with children in this way, they are committing a crime that can impact the victim for years.
…
Most perpetrators are children or family acquaintances. 93% of victims under 18 know their abuser. Perpetrators do not have to be adults to harm children. They can have any kind of relationship with the child, such as an older sibling or playmate, a family member, a teacher, a coach or instructor, a caretaker, or another child's parent.
In a statement regarding the recent incident, Comal ISD said it does not condone such relationships between teachers and students.
“Ensuring the safety and security of our students is our top priority. We will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation,” the statement said.
Breitbart News reported in September that a middle school math teacher in El Paso, Texas, was arrested twice after being accused of sexually grooming a 12-year-old girl.
