Caitlin Clark to Compete in Annika Sorenstam’s LPGA Pro-Am in November

Caitlin Clark is currently resting after an action-packed year that included trips to the NCAA Women's Final Four and the WNBA Playoffs.

But her nap doesn't last long.

On Monday, it was announced that Clark will be competing in LPGA great Annika Sorenstam's annual event, Annika, which will be held Nov. 11-17.

“I love golf, so the opportunity to play in a pro-am in a tournament named after a legend like Annika Sorenstam is very exciting,” said Clark. Said.

“I look forward to seeing all of the LPGA players on the practice range, attending the Women’s Leadership Summit, and of course teeing up with Annika at the Pro-Am.”

The LPGA touts Annika as a “grant-giving initiative to celebrate and advance girls and women in sport and education.”

Sorenstam praised Clark's accomplishments on the court and said how “excited” he was to meet her.

“I have been following Caitlin's career in the WNBA since her college days, and her efforts to bring attention to women's sports both on and off the court are incredible,” Sorenstam said. “We look forward to meeting Caitlin and having her join us at Pelican Golf Club in November. It will be an exciting week for women’s sports.”
