Taylor Swift celebrates ‘perfect’ Chiefs win during return to Kansas City

Taylor Swift returns to Kansas City to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce, wearing Chiefs' 5-0 record, 'perfect' way for team to enter bye week following Monday night's win dressed up as.

The “Cruel Summer” singer appeared on Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr.'s partner Shariah Gordon's Instagram Story after the team's 26-13 win over the New Orleans Saints.

The 34-year-old Swift, who was enjoying a drink inside the VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium and standing next to a framed photo of himself during the Elas Tour, was asked by Gordon in the video what he thought about the team's five-game winning streak. Ta. Posted on her Instagram story.

“No, it's important that you answer the question this time,” Swift replied.

“I feel really good this week. We're 5-0,” Gordon said, before Swift interjected that the win was big for the team heading into its “bye week.”

“It's perfect,” Gordon said.

“Perfect is the right word,” the “Blank Space” singer emphasized.

Swift then pointed to a framed photo of herself and apologized for playfully “photobombing” herself before the video ended.

The pop superstar, who missed the Chiefs' last two games (both road wins), arrived at the stadium before kickoff wearing a plaid minidress and high black boots.

Travis Kelce's older brother, former NFL center Jason Kelce, was on the air on ESPN when the network flashed a video of Swift entering the stadium. In the wake of this video, Jason praised Swift's outfit.

“Hey, look now. She's taking charge of that role right away. It looks good,” Jason said before digging into an analysis of Travis' play on the field.

But the pop icon didn't jump into the game alone.

She watched from her suite as her boyfriend took to the field with his father, Scott Swift.

After the tight end, the singer seemed dizzy. made a side pass to teammate Samaje Perine in the second quarter.

ESPN cameras also caught Swift applauding another play by Kelce, and Troy Aikman said, referring to his four-time All-Pro boyfriend's play, saying, “Mrs. I'm there,” he commented.

After a slow start to the 2024 season for the three-time Super Bowl champion, Swift seemed to bring out the best in Kelce during the game.

By halftime, Kelce was the Chiefs' stop with eight receptions and was tied with JuJu Smith-Schuster for the most receiving yards with 67.

His longest reception of the first half was a 21-yard catch off a short pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter.

Kelce finished the night with nine catches for 70 yards, averaging 7.8 yards per reception.

There was no lack of fanfare at Monday night's game, as ESPN revealed that Saints defensive tackle Karen Sanders' younger brother, Kameron, was a backup dancer on Swift's Elas Tour.

Shortly after, the defensive tackle recorded his first career interception in the third quarter.

Following the Chiefs' Week 6 bye, the team will travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers at Candlestick Stadium on October 20th.

The game will be the first time the two teams have faced each other since Kansas City beat San Francisco in Super Bowl III in February.
