Vice President Harris is expected to announce a new proposal Tuesday that would expand Medicare coverage to cover the cost of home health aides for seniors.
Her campaign said Harris will discuss the bill on ABC. The View, A daytime TV talk show that is popular among middle-aged and elderly women.

The proposal is aimed squarely at the “sandwich generation” of women, who not only care for their own children, but also care for their aging parents.
The campaign's internal data shows that this group, which makes up about a quarter of Americans, has a relatively high proportion of people who have not yet decided to vote, campaign officials said. He spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity prior to publication.
In its current form, Medicare does not broadly cover assistance such as home health assistance for seniors, which can be expensive. Nursing home facilities are also expensive.
Harris' plan to expand Medicare to cover home health care for seniors would be paid for in part by expanding Medicare drug price negotiations, her campaign said.
