A University of Kansas professor has been placed on administrative leave after saying that men who disobey Vice President Kamala Harris because she is a woman should be shot. “You could line up all of those guys and shoot them,” he said in a recently leaked video. The university had not released the instructor's name as of Wednesday evening.

Nevertheless, a video of the professor's comments was published on social media and the footage went viral.

The University of Kansas responded to the backlash with a statement regarding X, telling the public that the professor's identity remains private and that he has been placed on administrative leave while the school investigates the matter.
“The university is aware of a classroom video in which an instructor makes inappropriate references to violence. The instructor has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation,” the University of Kansas said.
Later, the university tried to explain that the professor was simply trying to “advocate for women's rights and equality.”
“The lecturer deeply apologizes for what led to this situation and is deeply remorseful. His intention was to emphasize the defense of women's rights and equality, and he has done something very wrong in that regard. “We recognize that,” the University of Kansas said.
“The university has an established process for situations like this and we intend to follow that process,” the school added.
