Former President Trump boasted of his ability to “weave” in a speech at a rally, pushing back against criticism that he was “rambling.”

On Thursday, during an appearance on comedian Andrew Schultz's “Flagrant” podcast, Trump was asked who was really behind two assassination attempts on him.

But instead of tackling the question head-on, he praised the host's “great questions” and quickly pivoted to condemning “fake news.”

“But some of these questions are better questions,” Trump said.

“Well, thank you. I appreciate it and I'm honored,” co-host Akaash Singh replied, before playfully pointing out, “But you haven't answered yet.”

“That was question avoidance at its best!” Schultz responded.

President Trump quipped, “I'm trying to get out of this situation.”

After further discussing the assassination attempt, Trump revealed his conversational tactics to the “Flagrant” hosts.

President Trump said, “I do a job called Weave.'' “And some fair-minded people will say, 'This guy is such a genius,' and others will say, 'Oh, he was rambling.' I won't ramble. ”

“What you're doing is weaving, and you're doing it. You have to have certain things. You have to have an extraordinary memory,” Trump told Shultz. , because we have to go back to the starting point.''Weaving is only effective in the following cases.'' I can go back. ”

“They don't give you credit for it,” Schultz replied. “You can go this far.”

“I can go that far here and there,” Trump said, drawing loud laughter from his co-hosts. “And I can go right back to where I started. Now, someday when you can't go back to where you started,

“You're Biden,” Schultz quipped.

Trump later continued, “I call it weaving. And some people think it's so genius. But what the bad people say is, 'You know what? He was rambling.’ I was sitting there, no rambling. This is a textile. That's another name. We've come up with a lot of names, but we think textiles should be part of that staple. ”

“You ignored my question twice,” Shin laughed.

“I don't even want to know the answer,” Shultz exclaimed.

“Let's get back to the question,” Trump joked, admitting that he “hates” answering questions because of his reluctance to falsely accuse someone of being behind an assassination attempt.
