Gerrit Cole has touching moment with wife Amy after brilliant ALDS

Gerrit Cole capped off a heroic night on the mound by leading the Yankees to a 3-1 ALDS win over the Royals on Thursday night.

The six-time MLB All-Star was pictured kissing his wife Amy Cole on the field at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium after leading the Yankees back to the ALCS, posted on his Instagram Story. It was in the photo.

“ALCS bound,” Amy wrote, along with a champagne bottle emoji.

The couple, who met while students at UCLA, married in 2016 and have two sons, Kayden Gerritt, 4, and Everett, 1.

Ashley Rodon, wife of Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon, also shared a similar photo with her husband.

The couple kissed under the lights at Kauffman Stadium, as seen in a photo Ashley posted on Instagram.

Ashley and Amy also shared a photo of the Yankees WAG posing in front of the team bus.

Cole, the current Cy Young Award winner, had a strong night on the mound, holding the Royals to just one run through seven innings.

“It was a great battle.” He said this in the post-match press conference.. “It's just a great fight.”

Cole, who signed a nine-year, $324 million contract with the New York Yankees in December 2019, had an 11-6 record with just six hits and a postseason ERA of 2.94.

“I'm fired up.” he said. “I had a few IPAs with the boys and squirted some champagne. This is the biggest thing!”

The Yankees will face either the Guardians or the Tigers in the ALCS starting Monday night at Yankee Stadium.

Game 5 of the ALDS will be played Saturday night in Cleveland.
