The broadcast network's chief executive, Wendy McMahon, donated $6,100 to President Joe Biden's campaign and Democratic Party fundraising platforms in 2020, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The Telegraph reported. Mr. McMahon, who was working at ABC at the time, made nine donations to campaigns in the final three months leading up to that year's election.
According to the Telegraph, she donated $2,500 each to the Biden campaign and the Biden Victory Fund, as well as multiple donations to Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue. CBS CEO George Cheeks, who oversees CBS News, also donated hundreds of dollars to President Biden's campaign and other Democrats during the 2020 election.
