Oklahoma City Halloween party shooting leaves 1 dead, dozens injured

One person is dead after gunfire erupted at a Halloween party in Oklahoma City Saturday morning.

According to Oklahoma City police, the shooting began around 12:30 a.m. at Patty's Event Center after two groups got into an altercation, then shots were fired inside and outside the building.

One man was confirmed dead and at least 12 people were injured in the shooting, two of whom were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Officials said multiple gunmen were involved in the shooting and that rifles were believed to have been used.

Police have detained several people, but have not named any suspects in the investigation into the shooting.

It is unclear how many people were at the party at the time of the shooting.

Patty's Event Center is located in the 5800 block of South Agnew Avenue in southwest Oklahoma City.

The event center is located 5.6 miles east of Will Rogers World Airport.
