Eagles (-9) vs. Browns

There's a scene in “Arrested Development” where Tobias discusses how people trick themselves into thinking something might work when it clearly doesn't…but… That might work for us.”

Well, this might work for us, so call us delusional. I'm rooting for another big favorite here.

yes i know. The big favorite stinks. This year is the year of the dog. you are not wrong.

But have you seen Deshaun Watson play football this year?

You've probably seen better QB play from losing teams on film.

The Browns are in a disgraceful situation with Watson under center, and the Eagles, who just finished a bye, need to be more motivated to start a comfortable development from a blowout.

The Browns' once-proud defense has been lacking a bit this season, and they suffered a 34-point loss in their last game against the Commanders.

The Eagles are expected to have AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith back from injury, and Philadelphia should take a leap forward.

Lions (-3) vs. Cowboys

Dallas pulled off a nice last-minute win against the Steelers last weekend, but they're not equipped to handle a healthy Lions team in their bye week.

Detroit ranks sixth in rushing yards per game, while the Cowboys rank 24th with 135 yards per game.

Dallas' defense also beats two huge defenders in Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence.

The Cowboys' offense has also been inconsistent, with Dak Prescott seemingly forgetting about CeeDee Lamb late in games.

While Dallas tries to keep things afloat with Parsons rushing the passer, we feel comfortable supporting the Lions to win this game by at least a field goal.

AT&T Stadium hasn't been a haven for the Cowboys this year either, with Dallas allowing 72 points (36 per game) and failing to cover the deficit in both games.

last week: 1-1. Packers (W), Saints (L)
season: 3-7.
