Two men arrested over attack that killed XL bully dog in Slough | UK news

Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal attack on an XL bully in Slough.

Thames Valley Police said a dog was “deliberately attacked and seriously injured” in the Berkshire town on September 29. He was rushed to the hospital, but died from his injuries.

A police spokesperson said two men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested at an address in the town on Friday, where a large quantity of cannabis was also found.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, possession with intent to supply a controlled substance of class B and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and criminal damage to property, possessing with intent to supply a class B controlled drug.

A police spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police have arrested two men in connection with a fatal attack on a dog in Slough. Officers arrested two men, aged 20 and 22, from Slough, at an address in the town on Friday.

“Officers also searched the address and found a large quantity of cannabis. The arrests are in relation to a dog being deliberately attacked and seriously injured on Burnham Lane on September 29 at around 6.05pm. It was.

“The breed of the dog is unconfirmed, but it is believed to be an XL bully and was taken for emergency treatment, where it succumbed to its injuries.”

A spokesperson said both men were released on police bail until January.

A 31-year-old man from Slough was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and was also released on police bail until January.
