Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. tripped horribly on Sunday when his head collided with the thigh of a Packers defender during Arizona's Week 6 loss to Green Bay. The rookie left early with a concussion.
With the Cardinals trailing 17-0 in the first half, Harrison Jr. tried to make a grab, but the ball slipped through his hands and the aftermath caused his head to hit the lower body of Green Bay linebacker Isaiah McDuffie.
The scene took a frightening turn shortly after 22-year-old Harrison Jr. got up from the field, stumbled and then fell to the ground.
The former Ohio State star was then examined in a medical tent and ruled out for the remainder of the game, a 34-13 loss to the Packers.
“He ended up punching me in the leg.” mcduffie said On the play involving Harrison Jr.: “I went to tackle him and he just kind of ducked down and hit me in the quadriceps. It was a weird play.”
Head coach Jonathan Gannon said the severity of Harrison Jr.'s concussion is unknown. According to ESPN.
Harrison Jr., the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison and the No. 4 overall pick in this year's draft, has 17 receptions for 279 yards and four touchdowns in six games this season.
The Cardinals, currently 2-4, will play the Chargers (3-2) next week on Monday Night Football.
It remains to be seen whether Harrison Jr. will be available for the Week 7 matchup.
