Yankees’ Aaron Judge breaks homer drought with ALCS blast

Finally all rise.

Aaron Judge finally hit his first home run of the 2024 postseason with a two-run homer in the seventh inning of Game 2 of the ALCS against the Guardians.

Gleyber Torres started with a single, then Judge faced right-hander Hunter Gaddis and fired a 1-on-1 fastball over the center field wall, increasing the Yankees' lead to 6-2.

Escape velocity was 111.3 and traveled 414 feet.

The outburst was Judge's first since Sept. 26, and his first in the playoffs since Oct. 18, 2022, against the Guardians in the ALDS, ending a nine-game home run streak in the postseason.
