2. Share with you
In iOS 18, the Share with You feature shares message content with other apps. This means that when you share certain types of content through Messages, it automatically becomes visible or available in the relevant app, without having to manually forward or reopen the content. Here are some examples of how this feature can be used.
Photos and videos: When you share a photo or video in a conversation, it automatically appears in the Photos app, making it easy to access and edit without having to save it manually.
Links and articles: When you share a link to an article or website, it automatically appears in your Safari reading list or your favorite news app so you can read it later without having to search for the link again.

Calendar events: When someone sends you event or appointment details, you can automatically add them to your calendar app so you never miss an important date or event.
music and podcasts: When you share a song or podcast episode, it's automatically added to your Music or Podcasts app, making it easy to listen to your shared content without any additional steps.
Documents and files: When you share a document or file, it's automatically saved in the Files app so you can access and manage it from a central location.
This feature reduces the need for repetitive operations and makes it easier to track content shared across different apps. However, if you have private conversations or information you want to keep private, consider disabling them. Here's how to turn it off:
- open setting
- Tap app
- Scroll down and tap message
- Tap share with you
- switch off automatic sharing

By adjusting these three settings, you can significantly improve your privacy in iOS 18. We recommend that you periodically review your privacy settings to see if they meet your preferences. Although these features are useful, it is important to weigh their benefits against privacy concerns.
