Caitlin Clark Earns All-WNBA First Team Honor That Hasn’t Been Seen In League For Almost Whopping 20 Years

A true history maker!

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has been named to the All-WNBA first team, becoming the first rookie to earn this honor. 16 years. (Related: Lonzo Ball takes the court for the first time in almost 3 years. He played a great game as if nothing had happened.)

Clark received 52 votes to secure his place in the first team, with the 22-year-old finishing fourth overall in the voting. Former Iowa Hawkeye finds himself on team with Las Vegas Aces center (and WNBA MVP) Aja Wilson and Minnesota Lynx forward Nafeesa Collierboth unanimous selections, and New York Liberty forward brianna stewart and connecticut sun forward Alyssa Thomas.

The last time a rookie was named to the All-WNBA first team was in 2008, when recently retired Candace Parker was selected. Tamika Catchings and Sue Bird, who also retired, were also rookies who previously made the first team, as was the Phoenix Mercury guard. Diana Taurasi.

Just another day in Caitlin Clark's life… I mean, damn, how great would it be if she had her entire career?

Say what you want about hated players and say what you want about weak WNBA salaries, but it must be an insane feeling to be making new history almost every day.
