Syracuse University has suspended its fraternity after a video of a “disturbing” hazing incident went viral on social media.

The incident occurred at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house on the Syracuse University campus in New York, according to a statement from President Kent Sybrood.

“The University recently became aware of a video showing disturbing conduct that endangers the well-being of some students. The video in question shows the conduct allegedly taking place in a Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house. Syverud said in a statement. . “I am disgusted by the behavior shown in these videos and condemn this behavior.”

Syverud added that Syracuse immediately suspended the fraternity and suspended all activities while the university investigated the alleged hazing.
