‘WTF,’ ‘Cringeworthy,’ ‘Historically Bad,’ Harris’s Al Smith Video Mocked

“Disrespectful,” “terrible,” “upsetting” and “historically bad” were just some of X's immediate reactions to Vice President Kamala Harris' taped video appearance at Thursday's Al Smith Dinner.

Former President Donald Trump was the only presidential candidate to appear at the dinner. Harris is the first Democratic candidate to skip the dinner since 1984, raising questions about why she would skip the bipartisan event as she seeks to establish herself as a unified candidate.
Harris decided to send a pre-recorded video, which turned into a skit that drew few laughs from the audience.

The skit mocking Catholics included the following: saturday night live Comedians filling video airtime:

Comedian Molly Shannon: Maybe it's best not to say negative things about Catholics.

Harris: No matter where I am, I wouldn't do that. That's like criticizing Detroit in Detroit.

Shannon: Doesn't it bother you that the Trump guy always insults you? Because it's really annoying to my friends and me.

HARRIS: Oh, Mary Catherine, it's very important to always remember to never tell anyone who you are. You tell them who you are. Haters will hate, hate, hate. Please shake it off. Please shake it off. Please shake it off. Please shake it off.
