Don't you think it's the NFL equivalent of “the dog ate my homework”?
That, of course, is “The Car Thief Stole My Playbook.”
In fact, the thief who broke into Rams linebacker Connor McDermott's car was after his iPad.
Coincidentally, this was a team-issued tablet that contained LA's entire playbook.
The device also contained player-specific personal information, nutritional guidelines, and schedules. According to a report in the Miami Herald on Thursday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the car was parked in a residential area at the time of the theft. Police are continuing to investigate the matter, but no arrests have been made to date.
As if Sean McVay didn't have enough headaches.
Rams fans can only hope they have more success in remotely wiping their devices than their team did in Weeks 1-5 against the Packers, Bears, Cardinals and Lions.

It's not a high hurdle for LA, with one win and four losses, and fourth place in the NFC West, but it is a high bar.
According to ESPN's 2024 NFL Football Power IndexThe Rams have less than a 12% chance of making the playoffs.
McDermott has spent parts of his eight-year career with the Bills, Jets and Patriots, but has yet to adjust to the Rams this season. The linebacker was placed on injured reserve in late August with an undisclosed injury.
New York fans may remember big man touchdown It was his 4th-and-1 goal late in the fourth quarter of a close game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021.
The touchdown pass, one of the best of Zach Wilson's tenure, propelled the Jets to their fourth win of the season.
Coming off a Week 6 bye, the Rams will host the Las Vegas Raiders (2-4) at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m.
