Dave Ramsey says he’s voting for Trump and mocks his critics: ‘You can’t cancel me. I own the show’

Personal finance guru Dave Ramsey said on his show that he was voting for former President Donald Trump, preempting his critics from trying to stop him from voting. I scoffed.

Ramsey is an influential financial counselor, and his teachings are often based on Christian beliefs. In a segment of “The Ramsey Show” that aired Wednesday, he told viewers how he decided who to vote for.

“When you have to denigrate or destroy someone because you disagree with them, you have already lost the argument.”

“I'm looking at ideas, and I'm thinking about which ideas will land on both sides of the aisle. The chances of us getting the tax policy that I like, the immigration policy that I like, the foreign policy that I like. Where am I most likely to gain? A gun policy that I like? A woke policy that I agree with? Ramsey said.

“Where am I most likely to know that? I can check those boxes very clearly and very quickly for these two candidates. So , I say I'm going to vote for Donald Trump,” he added. I checked those boxes and there was more on that side than on the other side. ”

He went on to ridicule those who might try to cancel him over his vote.

“It's okay, I can deal with it. It's happened to me for over 30 years. 'I'm going to cancel!' That's hard, I own the show,” he said. “So you can't cancel me. You can leave, but you can't cancel me.”

Ramsey has previously criticized the heated rhetoric in politics during the presidential race. I remembered Those for whom the Bible commands to pray for their leaders.

“Some of you are too serious about what's going on in the White House. If you could focus half as much on what's going on at home, you'd feel a lot better. That's really the common denominator of success. . I have nothing to do with those guys there,” Ramsey said on social media.

“Focus on the fight for or against the idea,” he added. “When you have to denigrate or destroy someone just because you disagree with their ideas, you have already lost the argument. You don't have to destroy someone for your ideas to win. .”
