“Saturday Night Live” featured Maya Rudolph, who plays Vice President Harris, in an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier during Saturday's cold open.
The skit also featured Alec Baldwin as Baier.
“Thank you, Brett,” Harris said. “That joy is not ours.”
In the skit, Rudolph, who plays Harris, talks about his career as a former prosecutor and utters a line from a viral meme. Baldwin, who played Byer, accused her of “just looking for a viral moment,” but Rudolph assured her she was crossing the aisle to appear on the network.
It also aired a parody video of former President Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, answering questions from Latino voters and throwing a dance party at a recent Pennsylvania town hall. There were also scenes where Baier and Harris sparred over her career and criticism of former President Trump.
Harris spoke with Baier on Fox News earlier this week. The interview was at times controversial, with the two discussing topics such as immigration and Harris' tenure.
Mr. Trump, who canceled his 60 Minutes interview, is frequently interviewed by Mr. Baier. The interview was Harris' toughest yet, and the two frequently sparred and talked to each other.
Harris took a risk by appearing on a conservative network just weeks before Election Day, but her recent media blitz was aimed at making up for time lost on the campaign trail.
Harris recently took part in a media blitz. With just a few weeks until Election Day, she is trying to get in front of the public as much as she can. Nationally, Ms. Harris leads by 2.1 percentage points, according to The Hill/Decision Desk headquarters, based on a tally of public opinion polls.
