Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson injured his Achilles tendon on a non-contact play during Sunday's game against the Bengals in Cleveland and was dragged off the field in tears.
With the Browns leading and facing a 2-6 score, Watson took the snap, hesitated, circled up the middle on an intended run before collapsing to the field.
Cleveland players surrounded the quarterback, in the midst of a disappointing 1-5 start for the Browns in the year, and helped load the quarterback into a cart, and Watson drove him to the locker room. I put a towel over my face.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson took over at quarterback on Sunday, and Jameis Winston was surprisingly inactive, but the Browns got a touch on running back Nick Chubb's touchdown run after a defensive pass interference penalty. I was able to finish the drive with a knock down.
