The father of a New Hampshire high school trans athlete has been sentenced to non-prison charges for distributing child pornography after defending his transgender daughter's struggles in women's sports in a letter to a federal judge. I'm looking for it.
Marc Jacques, the father of New Hampshire high school transgender athlete Mael Jacques, was sentenced to 60 months in prison in federal court on September 9, according to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital. . The U.S. Probation Office allowed him to sort himself out before reporting to prison in December.
In a letter to U.S. District Judge Paul Barbadoro, Jack argued that collaboration with the ACLU and GLAAD is essential to supporting Mael's fight to continue playing on women's sports teams.
He said in the letter that Mael does not have the support of her mother because she is transgender. Jack wrote that for the past few years he has had full custody and has been the sole support system for Mael and Mael's younger brother Remi.

“As a transgender teenager, Mael has had a very, very hard time seeking acceptance and love for herself. Since the spring of 2023, Mael has faced online bullying and vicious attacks on social media. and have been subject to discrimination in pamphlets distributed and publicly disclosed throughout the district, just one example,” Jack wrote.
“Before finding joy in school sports, Mael suffered from anorexia, depression, anxiety, and self-harm. “Since he began trying to disenfranchise transgender teens, Mael has become increasingly anxious and self-harming again,” he said.
Mael is also seeking medical advice about gender reassignment treatment, his letter states. It's my only support system.”
“DHMC's pediatric endocrinologists are also considering the option of providing a medical opinion that Mael's gender dysphoria could be recognized as a disability, especially in the context of a sports ban,” Jacques wrote.
“This potential option is another strong example of Mael's need for my support and care. I would argue against other options that could lead.”
Ms Mael also submitted a letter to the judge pleading for a non-custodial sentence for Jack, stating that Jack was attending therapy and group rehab for the crime.
“If I am no longer able to be with him due to a prison sentence, it will be a huge blow to my own mental stability because I will lose the home I grew up in and the safety and purity of my spirit that I felt there.” His support is something I don't get at my mother's house,” Mael wrote. “The efforts I have begun to work with the ACLU regarding my presence as a transgender woman in sports also rely on his emotional support in my testimony and meetings with senators. “If I don't have a salary, I won't be able to get help with my university tuition.'' ”
The judge has not sentenced Jack to a non-custodial sentence.

Mael's high-profile battle with New Hampshire law
Mael, a student at Kiersage High School in New Hampshire, is nearly 6 feet tall, according to multiple reports. Despite New Hampshire's state law restricting transgender participation in women's sports, Jack was allowed to play at the Kear Sages Regional. However, a federal judge's ruling in September requires Mael to immediately return to the field and join the other female players in the locker room.
Signed by New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu House Bill 1205The law, also known as the Fairness in Women's Sports Act, was passed in July and bans transgender girls and women from competing on girls' and women's sports teams. But Mael's family later filed a lawsuit, along with the family of another transgender athlete, seeking an injunction.
A federal court granted a preliminary injunction on September 10, allowing both players to play until a final ruling is issued. No final ruling has been made, so they continue to play despite state law.
Judge Randia McCafferty, who handed down the ruling, is a liberal appointed by former President Obama in 2013.
