Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake's office was placed on lockdown Tuesday after campaign staff opened a package containing a “suspicious” substance.
A campaign spokesperson told Fox News Digital that an intern in the campaign's Phoenix office opened an envelope containing a suspicious substance and a note that read “Beware of Anthrax.”

“The radical left, with the cooperation of the mainstream media, has escalated their attacks against me, from baseless slander and legal harassment to physical threats. I received a suspicious envelope that may have been sent to me in an attempt to blackmail me into silence,'' Lake said in a statement. “This is not just about me. This is an attack on our movement. I will not be intimidated. Those responsible must be brought to justice. Now is the time to unite against this dangerous and un-American tactic. It’s time.”
