Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday slammed Billionaire
“I'm not going to waste all my time on him,” Vice President Harris' aide told an audience in Madison, Wisconsin.
“Let’s talk about his running mate,” he said. “Elon Musk”
This statement drew laughter from those in attendance.
“Seriously? Where is Senator Vance?” asked Walz.
“Elon is up there on that stage jumping up and down, jumping up and down — these are the things,” he said, likely referring to Musk, who attended a rally for former President Donald Trump. It seems that there are.
“That man is literally the richest man in the world, and he spent millions of dollars helping Donald Trump buy the election,” the Minnesota governor told the audience.
Walz claims that Trump “promised corruption” before the American people and promised to put Musk in charge of the regulatory agency that oversees his business.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Minnesota Democratic Party was apparently referring to reports that President Trump plans to create a government efficiency commission and appoint Musk to run it.
President Trump reportedly said the commission would conduct a “complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government.”
Musk has become increasingly involved in politics, particularly the 2024 election, and is working to ensure the Republican Party wins the vote. The billionaire has spearheaded a turnout PAC, donated millions to other groups and launched controversial $1 million giveaways to voters in battleground states.
“Good news, Madison,” Walz said Tuesday. “Donald Trump will never be president. Elon Musk will never do anything.”
