Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham Say They Tour for Spiritual Impact, Not Mere Entertainment

The two artists who have headlined the largest Christian concert tour in the past two years say their purpose is to entertain, but more importantly, to change lives with the gospel. Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham will travel across the United States in 2023 and 2024 as part of their Summer Worship Nights Tour, sharing their award-winning music and testimony about the power of Christ. Fans who missed the tour or want to relive the tour can watch the tour documentary in theaters from October 27th to 29th. for one personWe will introduce highlights and behind-the-scenes stories of the music.

“I often say this is more than just entertainment,” Lake told Crosswalk Headlines.

”[Of course,] We want people who sacrifice a lot for a ticket and are on vacation because they miss work, go to work the next day, and may be tired to have fun, but we really want to I'm looking for an encounter. That's what it's all about. ”

The message of this tour is: “For those who are far from God or in need of a breakthrough and an encounter with the living God who loves them so much.”

“This is what it really means,” Lake said. “Yes, we want them to have fun, but we also want them to leave better than when they went in.”

Wickham told a story of a tour where “a line of security guards lined up on a balcony” raised their hands and admitted they wanted to accept Christ.

“I was so proud of the people who came to the concert, the people who came out to hang out with me,” Wickham said. Fans surrounding the security guard “swarmed” him with hugs and encouragement. But these stories “are not just about that one night,” Wickham said.

The tour “has a real family and community spirit,” he said.

Just as the tour has had an impact on people's lives, Wickham hopes the film will have a similar impact.

“I hope that people in the church see this and are really encouraged by God as they work across the country, around the world, and in the lives of people. We all come together as one big church. “I'm just standing there and grounding myself for Jesus,” Wickham said. “I hope that through this documentary people will be saved or rededicate their lives to Jesus.”

Wickham added that the film screams “a message to the world that the church is alive.”
