Democrats and Never Trumpers are spending the final days of the 2024 presidential election attacking the sister of a Hispanic U.S. Army soldier who was murdered for voting for former President Donald Trump.

In a post on X shortly after the article was published, Guillen said Trump has shown nothing but respect for his family, and clarified that he had indeed voted for Trump. She posted:
oh. I don't understand how you can use my sister's death for political purposes. It is harmful and disrespectful to the important changes she has made for military personnel. President Donald Trump had nothing but respect for my family and Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today.
Since her post, Democrats and Never Trumpers have heavily attacked Guillén.

No one here will take advantage of your sister's death. This isn't about her. It's about President Trump's anti-social behavior.
