Commanders bolster Super Bowl, playoff odds after Marshon Lattimore trade

The coaches are giving their all to the dream-like 2024 season.

The team acquired star cornerback Marshon Lattimore from the Saints before Tuesday's trade deadline, boosting their playoff hopes after an impressive 7-2 start.

Washington will send third-, fourth- and sixth-round picks to New Orleans in exchange for the four-time Pro Bowler and the 2017 Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The move will strengthen a Commanders team that already has over 6.5 wins in the preseason over-under and has its sights set on a strong showing in the postseason.

The odds for the Commanders improved slightly after the trade, at +110 at FanDuel Sportsbook, as they held a half-game lead over the Eagles in the NFC East.

Philadelphia was the top pick to win the division at most major sportsbooks and remains the favorite to win at -145.

Oddsmakers have all but ruled out a managerial collapse, projecting a win total of 11.5 and playoff odds of -950.

They aren't even considered a Super Bowl contender.

After the deadline, the managers are at +2,200 to win the Lombardi Trophy, tied with the Falcons and Texans for the ninth-best odds in the NFL.
