In an interview with MSNBC on Tuesday, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) responded to a question about whether men would vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, by saying, “I don't think men would vote for me. and said, “I don't really have a choice. My girlfriend will kill me, my wife will kill me, because if I don't vote for Kamala Harris, my wife will kill me.'' Because I think there's something going on in this country that people know is there. [are] While reproductive rights are at stake, so too is bodily autonomy. “And people, men in general, but women in particular, are voting with empathy.”
Booker said, “Look, God, good luck to America. I hope it's a girl.” This is the kind of thing women do. They outnumber men. they have the right to vote[ing] In greater numbers. I think they guide the family in many ways. I've already had experiences where men have come up to me and said, “I have no other choice, my girlfriend is going to kill me if I don't vote for Kamala Harris, my wife is going to kill me.'' I've seen it. Something is happening in this country where people know that health care is in crisis, [are] At the same time that reproductive rights are at stake, so is bodily autonomy. And I think that's what people think when they see a horrific story like the one we just saw in Texas, where people went to the emergency room three times for a miscarriage, but they didn't get the care they needed and it ended in tragedy. . , men in general, but women in particular, vote with empathy. This may not directly affect them, but these issues shouldn't bother Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) speaking about older women, which is extremely insulting. They're voting because they know what it's like. They can feel hurt, pain, and fear. ”
Mr. Booker was then interrupted to allow MSNBC to cover Ms. Harris speaking at a campaign phone bank.
