The current Vice President-elect, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), said early Wednesday morning during former President and President-elect Donald Trump's victory speech that America is truly in the midst of “the greatest political crisis in the history of the United States.” He said he witnessed a “reversal.” .
Surrounded by friends and family, Trump said during his speech that he wanted to be the first to congratulate Vance and invited him to say a few words to the enthusiastic audience.
“Mr. President, thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible journey,” Vance began as the crowd chanted “JD.”
“Thank you for the confidence you have placed in me. I believe we have witnessed the greatest political resurgence in the history of the United States,” he exclaimed.
“And under President Trump's leadership, we will never stop fighting for you, your dreams, and your children's future. And after the greatest political reversal in American history, we will continue to fight for the future of you, your dreams, and your children. “We intend to leave behind a reversal of American history under the leadership of Donald Trump,” Vance added.

Notably, Vice President Kamala Harris chose to ignore her supporters and refused to give any kind of speech tonight. Rather, Cedric Richmond, Harris' campaign co-chair, took the stage at Harris's rally and announced that Harris would not appear in public and would address the nation during the day on Wednesday. Confirmed.
