Alzarri Joseph is frustrated for unknown reasons, perhaps not satisfied with the field given to him. Anyway, he looks like he's bowling in the late 80s (miles). And after three points, he gets Cox. It was a brilliant delivery, the bumper hurting Cox's glove and sending it to Hope. Cox, perhaps shocked by how outrageous the delivery was, did not immediately walk away. It was over 90 miles per hour.

When Forde overpitch, Jax leans into a cover drive and hits a four-man. But the outside edge continues on to the next ball. Forde shortens his length and lets Jax take a feathering catch of Shai Hope behind the stumps. Jax's Lean series has ended.
2 overs: England 5-0 (Salt 4, Jacks 1) When Alzarri Joseph ran out from the other end, Jax offered off on the outside and then showed off his defense up front. It's not much of a buzz ball. Jax steals a quick single with a tap on the leg side and misses the mark.
1 over: England 3-0 (Salt 3, Jacks 0) Will Jacks and Phil Salt (both averaging 33 points in this format) break out. Matthew Ford starts the fight and Salt scores with punches to start the match. Due to a fielding error, Salt was hit for three points on the leg side, and Sherfan Rutherford, who was stopped near the boundary, was injured. Jacks flicked the first pitch, which was almost a ground ball, in the air to Shimron Hetmyer at square leg, and the ball fell short of the fielder.

Because more important things are happening elsewhere.my mind goes back to Don McRae's excellent 2017 interview with Zafar Ansari, who retired from professional cricket at the age of 25 just a few months after making his Test debut for England. Here he talks about playing against India during the 2016 US presidential election:
It was a very important period politically. Trump was selected on the first day of the opening Test in India. I was batting at 10 o'clock and cell phones were not allowed in the locker room. I was getting bits and pieces of information from security, but it felt disconnected from something that should have been so closely connected here. Playing very difficult cricket and missing out on something very important made me think more clearly about my future.
At the end of the play that day, I heard the news about Trump. We got our phones and it was a shocking moment. I was expecting [Hillary] Mr. Clinton cornered it, but found it difficult to accept. Since then, I have focused most of my attention on policies such as changes in health care delivery, attempts to ban Muslims, and increased immigration and deportation enforcement, rather than just thinking of Trump as the clown he often appears on. It's important to be less hysterical about the person and more about the political implications. ”

However, his record of 85 innings included 9 sixes – 124 balls. Hmmmm.
England have not won an ODI series since their disastrous defeat in last year's World Cup, so this match has real meaning despite the experimental nature of the current setup. . You don't necessarily get that with modern white ball stuff.
