In a post-election interview Wednesday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unveiled some of his plans for a major overhaul of the nation's major health agencies.
Ann MSNBC reporter RFK Jr. asked the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention whether they intend to fire “the highest level currently serving federal military personnel.”
“In some categories,” Kennedy replied. “There are entire departments that need to be abolished, like the FDA's nutrition department.”
He said workers in certain sectors, including the nutrition sector, were “not doing their jobs” or “not protecting our children.”
“Why do we flute loop There are 18-19 types of ingredients in this country, but when you go to Canada, you only have 2-3 types? ” Kennedy asked.
When asked if he intended to eliminate any government agencies, President Kennedy replied, “I have no intention of eliminating any government agency as long as Congress has to approve it.''
Mr. Kennedy said he was confident that he “could eliminate corruption from government institutions.”
“That's what I've been doing for 40 years. I've sued all those agencies. I have a PhD in corporate corruption and I make it my job. And once there's no corruption, “If Americans had access to good science and were allowed to make their own choices, they would be much healthier,” he added.
With less than a week to go until Election Day, Kennedy said: news nation President Trump's future cabinet plans.
“President Trump has asked me to reorganize federal health agencies. Agencies with portfolios that impact human health, namely the CDC; [National Institutes of Health]the FDA, and some agencies within the U.S. Department of Agriculture,” Kennedy said.
Kennedy said Trump has asked him to end corruption and conflicts of interest and to “measurably reduce chronic disease in children within two years.”
On Sunday, he said: and [Trump has] Assured me I was going to get it. ”
President Kennedy said he has not yet decided whether he wants to serve as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
“I want to be in the most effective position to end the chronic disease epidemic,” Kennedy continued. “And I'm confident that if I wanted to be Secretary of Health and Human Services, the president would fight tooth and nail to make that happen.”
Last week, Vice President Kamala Harris slams Kennedy As someone who has “routinely promoted junk science and crazy conspiracy theories.”
She called him “the last person in America who should be deciding health care policy for American families and children.”
