Travis Kelsey ruffled feathers with his post-election message.
On Wednesday, Chiefs Tight shared a collage of photos on Instagram featuring his teammates in honor of Kansas City's 30-24 overtime win over the Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”
“Night arrowhead 🏟️🔥🔥,” Kelce wrote, along with two fire emojis.
Some felt Kelsey's post was ill-timed after former President Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in Tuesday's election to become the 47th president of the United States.
“Trav, I love you but please read the room,” someone wrote in the comments.
“Travis, please don't do this because you're in mourning right now,” another woman added.
“Not Travis today,” one user wrote, followed by another comment: “Read the room.”

“Continuing to stay on track 👏🙌🔥,” the Instagram account for his podcast “New Heights” added as the Chiefs extended their winning streak to 8-0.
One person mentioned Kelsey's girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, and asked her what she thought about the outcome of this year's presidential election.

Mr. Kelce, 35, did not publicly endorse either candidate. He was photographed voting on Tuesday.
Kelce's post celebrated the Chiefs' eight straight wins en route to their third straight title.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner watched the Chiefs-Buccaneers game from her suite at Arrowhead Stadium, along with her mother, Andrea, Kelce's mother, Donna, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife. He was seen cheering along with Brittany Mahomes and others.
It's unclear whether Swift will return to Arrowhead when the Chiefs play the Broncos on Nov. 10.
Swift will begin the final leg of her Elas tour in Canada next week, kicking off at Toronto's Rogers Center on November 14, before concluding in Vancouver next month.
