Caitlin Clark's first season in the WNBA may be over, but she's been busy in her first offseason, which now includes speaking with a prominent late-night talk show host.
Clark will join David Letterman in a lecture series at Ball State University in Indiana in December.
Mr. Letterman has hosted a lecture series at his alma mater since 2008, and Mr. Clark will be joining him as part of the “David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workship Series'' on Dec. 2 in Emmens Auditorium on campus.

University President Jeffrey S. Mearns released a statement announcing Mr. Clark's appearance on Letterman.
“David Letterman is our university's most famous alumnus,” the statement reads. “He is a native Hoosier and a national icon, and Caitlin Clark has quickly become a beloved Hoosier and national star. We expect their conversation to be very special. Ball… We are honored to welcome them on behalf of the state.”

Letterman's lecture series has featured many special guests over the years, including Oprah and Rachel Maddow.
As stated in the statement, Clark quickly became a star at Indiana after being selected No. 1 overall by the WNBA's Fever.
She helped the Fever reach the playoffs, breaking numerous league records and winning Rookie of the Year honors in the process.

His records include most points and most three-pointers made by a rookie, and he also set a WNBA single-season record with 337 assists.
Letterman was one of the many celebrities who attended the Fever's home games this season at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and was even spotted with them after the game.
Since his record-setting season, Clark has been playing golf, enjoying a Taylor Swift concert at his new home, Lucas Oil Stadium, and spending time with his teammates as new head coach Stephanie White was introduced by the Fever last week. I'm having fun making appearances.
Meanwhile, the new Unrivaled Basketball League, a 3-on-3 concept co-founded by WNBA All-Stars Brianna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, has signed Clark to a huge contract to play in its inaugural season in January. It is rumored that there are.
