Nick Sirianni sparks Jalen Hurts injury drama in awkward Eagles press conference

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni may have accidentally revealed quarterback Jalen Hurts' injury during Friday's press conference.

Hurts was considered rested and missed practice on Wednesday, but Sirianni was asked about that on Friday.

“Yeah, you know, he was on the ankle injury report. We're just making sure we're being cautious with everything,” Sirianni said.

When Sirianni turned to the Eagles' public relations staff next to the podium, several reporters pointed out that Hurts was not actually on the injury report.

A spokesperson said, “It was a rest.''

Sirianni quickly corrected him, saying, “I was resting, yes, sorry.”

When a reporter asked the coach if Hurts was dealing with an ankle issue, Sirianni smiled and shook his head.

The Eagles are currently in first place in the NFC East with a 7-2 record and a half-game lead over the Commanders.
