New York Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez breaks her silence about the election. and warned Her supporters claimed that “terrible times” were approaching.

Ocasio-Cortez posted a video of her instagram account It has more than 8.1 million followers discussing Vice President Kamala Harris' shocking loss to President-elect Donald Trump.
“This is going to be a very, very, very challenging and difficult time. It's going to be a very scary time,” she said.
She opined that had Harris been a man, she probably would have won the election and defended her from critics who blamed her loss to Trump on the vice president.
“I think it's important to also mention here that Kamala Harris has been given a mission that no other person in American history has been given a presidential campaign in 90 to 100 days. “To build a… and have to save the country from a huge fascist threat,” which has already been campaigning and pumping for virtually eight years, Ocasio-Cortez said.
“While this racism may not be determined by personal factors, misogyny is very real in this country,” she added. “If Kamala Harris had been Tom Harris, today might have turned out differently, but we don't know.”
Ocasio-Cortez was re-elected Tuesday with 69% of the vote.
“I'm not here to superficially explain what we're about to go through,” she continued. “I believe that we are in a time when, for example, in the history of mass movements of people coming together to protect each other, in times of fascism and authoritarianism, we have allies. This is the era we are about to enter.”
She also expressed frustration with President Trump's growing support from working-class Americans.
“This is a huge setback because the fascists had the support of a lot of the working class. This has happened in history,” she said.
