MUNICH — It appears the Giants' kicking specialists are planning a full reunion on Sunday.
Kicker Graham Gano, who missed the past seven games with a hamstring injury, is expected to return against the Panthers.
He is officially listed as questionable and was limited in Friday's practice.
Coach Daboll said he is “positive” that Gano will be able to play.
Jude McAtamny, who was removed from the practice squad and made his NFL debut during last week's loss to the Commanders, also indicated Friday that he does not intend to play again Sunday.
Punter Jamie Gillan missed the past four games with a hamstring injury of his own, but he was not listed as injured Friday, meaning he is OK.
Matt Haack took Gillan's place and struggled.
His average net yards was just 39 yards per punt, which was 30th in the NFL. By the way, Guillain averaged 42.3 points, which was 15th in the league.
Safety Jason Pinnock is listed as questionable with an abdominal injury, but Daboll wasn't optimistic about playing Sunday.
“Pinnock is a concern for this game,” Daboll said. “I'm not going to rule him out, but he's probably the one.”
Pinnock did not practice Friday.
But Chris Hubbard, who started the past two games at left tackle in place of the injured Andrew Thomas and benched Joshua Ezeudu, is scheduled to play Sunday after dealing with an illness earlier in the week.
Daboll met and spoke with Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany on Friday and received much praise. Kompany is in his first season in charge after a brilliant career as a player.
“He was a great player,” Daboll said. “I'll have to do a little bit of research and watch him. He's definitely a tough player as well and did a great job here as well. I talked to him for a few minutes just before he got here. He's smart. I had a good conversation with him, so please pray for his safety.”
The Giants received varying amounts of sleep and rest on the plane to Munich.
But with just a little help, Malik Nabaas slept like a baby.
“I was up the night before when I went a little overboard,” Nabers said. “I also took sleeping pills. When I got on that plane, I put my seat back up and got out. I slept the whole time. I was knocked out.”
