Chyna Phillips has opened up about her unconventional living situation with her longtime husband, Billy Baldwin.
Phillips, 56, admitted in a video she shared on her faith-based YouTube channel California Preachin' that she lives in a separate house from Baldwin, 61.
“Billy and I have kind of this new kind of arrangement that's actually working out really well for me,” she explained. “I don't know if that's what's working for Bill Star, but I'm very happy with what we're doing and it's basically completely unstructured.”

Her YouTube video description read, “Marriage is a roller coaster, but I think I found a way to get off the ride without actually 'getting off the ride'!!”
Referring to her Christian faith, the singer said, “I really felt like, 'Where in the Bible does it say you have to live under the same roof with your husband 24/7?'”
Phillips rattled off a list of gestures she performed each day for Baldwin.
“I have to take care of him, I have to be kind to him, I have to be kind to him, I have to obey him…I have to submit. No.”
She added, “I understand all that…but I'll submit it when I'm around.”

Phillips said she presented the plan to her husband as a “trial run.” She claimed that she would live in Santa Barbara and Baldwin would live in Beverly Hills, and that the two would “flip”.

She further suggested that the time they spend together during that time could include “dates,” leisure activities, and time with family.
“In between, we go on double dates… we go on dates together, we go to therapy… we have dinner with the kids, we go to the beach, we go to museums… we just go out for ice cream. ”
Phillips admitted that she does plan on making time for sex, saying, “We spend a few days a week in a row together, having sleepovers and things like that, but we don't force ourselves to be exposed to each other's energy 24/7.” Very happy to try this.”

Ms Phillips is happy with her new plans and living arrangements, but admitted her husband is “a little more reluctant” about the situation.
Later in the video, Phillips hopped on a virtual call with her husband.
“We're madly in love. We really enjoy being together. We value our marriage. We don't want to break up. We're kind of allergic to each other, so it's time for some time apart. You just need it. It's okay, I'm sure many couples are allergic to each other.”
Phillips and Baldwin married in 1995 and have three adult children: daughters Jameson, 24, Brooke, 19, and son Vance, 22.
Meanwhile, the actor responded to his wife's post on social media.

“Chyna…your California Preachin' posts always annoy us!!” he responded with a laughing emoji.
“It's… an empty nest for the first time in decades, so I'm going to do something and hope Chyna joins me, but if she doesn't want to… that's cool. Chyna is her And if I don't want to be with you…that's great and we work together most of the time.”
In a lengthy comment, Baldwin concluded, “After 34 years…we're still driving each other crazy and crazy in love. We need to stop that…Call me tonight, Mom.”
Earlier this year, Phillips said she was walking on “eggshells” with her husband and didn't want to “trigger” him.
“Billy and I have been going through a little thing the last few days,” Phillips admitted in April.
She continued, “We're on edge with each other, and that's frustrating because just when we feel like we're getting into a groove and things are starting to get better, we're back to fighting.'' Because it starts. It's very easy.”

“Billy is my life partner. I mean, he's the person I want to have the healthiest relationship with. When I'm the most hurt, the most upset, he's the person I want to be able to talk to. It is…” Phillips said.
“But sometimes I don't. A lot of times I don't because I don't want to rock the boat, I don't want to upset him, I feel like I'm walking on eggshells.”
The five-time Grammy nominee explained that she sometimes holds back from expressing her feelings to Baldwin because she “doesn't want him to go into depression” or “make him anxious.” did.
“At the end of the day, I don't want to provoke him, but the truth is that I have that fear that keeps us from real intimacy.'' He's preventing me from opening up to him and I'm trying to protect his feelings, but by doing that I'm causing more problems in our marriage. .”

Phillips is the daughter of Mamas & Papas co-founders John and Michelle Phillips and half-sister of Mackenzie Phillips and Bijou Phillips. Chynna, along with sisters Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, make up the pop music trio Wilson Phillips.
Baldwin is the brother of fellow actors Alec Baldwin, Stephen Baldwin, and Daniel Baldwin. Alec was previously in the news for the shooting incident that occurred on the set of “The Last''.
