The cast of “Saturday Night Live” playfully appealed to President-elect Donald Trump in a chilling public sketch in the first episode since the 2024 presidential election.
“On Tuesday, the American people went to the polls and elected Donald Trump as the next president of the United States,” said performer Bowen Yang. I said it at the beginning of sketches.
“For many people, including many who watch this show now, the outcome was shocking, even horrifying,” added cast member Ego Nwodim.
“Donald Trump, who tried to forcefully overturn the results of the last election, is overwhelmingly back in office,” continued cast member Heidi Gardner.
Kenan Thompson, a longtime cast member on the show, said the president-elect is “openly calling for revenge against his political opponents.” “Thanks to the Supreme Court, the guardrails are gone,” Yang added.
“There is nothing to protect those who dare to speak out against him,” Nwodim said.
“That's why we at SNL want to say to Donald Trump: We're with you all the way,” Thompson said, followed by many of his co-stars praising the former president.
Cast member Sarah Sherman also mentioned the “new impression” “debut” of the “hot” and “jacked” president-elect, and cast member James Austin Johnson, who often plays Trump on “SNL” also stated: A version of the former president with muscular arms.
“They finally disposed of the body properly,” Johnson said, echoing Trump.
“SNL” alum Dana Carvey, who has appeared on the show as President Biden in recent weeks, also imitated Elon Musk, who jumped on stage at Trump's rally last month, in a sketch.・He imitated Mr. Musk.
“Look, Dark Maga,” Carvey, who plays The Mask, says in the sketch.
The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign and Tesla for comment.
