Jamal Simmons, Vice President Kamala Harris' former communications director, suggested that President Joe Biden “should resign” to make Harris the “first female president.”
in post Simmons admitted in X that Biden was “fantastic” and added that she should step down as president “during a period of transition” to make Harris the “first female president.”
“Joe Biden has been great, but he must fulfill one last promise: There will be a period of transition,” Simmons wrote. “Biden should resign and make Kamala Harris the first female president. That would turn the tables on Trump.”
Simmons said that if Biden leaves office, “there will be no need for Kamala to preside” over the Senate's certification of President-elect Donald Trump's election victory on January 6, and the next woman can run for president. He added that it “makes things easier.”
As Breitbart News previously reported, Simmons joined Harris' team in January 2022 to “help fix her public image” after her first year as vice president. In January 2023, she resigned from her position as Harris' communications director.
Simmons' post comes days after Trump, the 45th president and soon to become the 47th president, secured a path to 270 votes in the Electoral College and defeated Harris to win the presidential election. It was done later.
Trump also won all seven battleground states: Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and ultimately won 312 votes in the Electoral College, compared to 226 for Harris. Obtained.
