Exclusive—Sen. Tommy Tuberville: It’s Morning in America

The four-year national nightmare that Americans were forced to endure under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is finally over.

Since President Biden took office in 2021, Americans have faced the eternal burden of unaffordable groceries, out-of-control crime, wide-open borders, woke school indoctrination, and endless wars. I'm stuck in a spiral.

On Tuesday, the American people firmly rejected this administration's woke tyranny. A majority of voters instead chose to usher in an American golden age led by President Donald Trump. Americans have ushered in a new morning in America. The brighter days of a richer, more secure America are at hand.

Democrats and corporate media tried to promote Kamala Harris as a “replacement candidate.” But Americans aren't stupid either. They saw through her disjointed, rambling, confusing talking points about growing up in a middle-class family and being freed from the burdens of her past. Don't get me wrong, Kamala Harris becoming president would not just be a continuation of Joe Biden's nightmare. That would have made things even worse.

Despite Democrats' best efforts to blame Kamala Harris's landslide defeat on sexism and racism, nothing could be further from the truth. President Trump has made significant gains among suburban white women, Hispanics, black men, and young Americans ages 18 to 29 (all demographic groups that have trended Democratic in recent years). brought. President Trump became the first Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years. It's hard to remember a time when Americans of all races and backgrounds were more united behind a candidate.

As President Reagan said, “It's morning again in America.” Almost 40 years have passed since then, and a new dawn has arrived. With control of the House and Senate, President Trump not only has the opportunity to implement America First policies, but he also has a mandate from the American people. As a United States senator, I look forward to serving as President Trump's legislative sledgehammer.

Securing our borders will be a top priority in the Senate. There is no doubt that President Trump will undo much of the damage done by Biden and Harris with the stroke of his presidential pen. But Congress needs to pass legislation to ensure that a future Democratic president cannot simply reopen the border and allow millions of illegal aliens back into our country. We must focus on providing resources to build the wall, reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy, and facilitate the mass deportation of those who entered the country in violation of the law.

Another top priority is unlocking the American economy. Inflation was almost non-existent during President Trump's first term, and unemployment rates for blacks, Hispanics, and Asian Americans hit record lows. On the campaign trail, President Trump promised tax cuts for Americans of all backgrounds. Congress must reauthorize and expand the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and work with President Trump to cut through bureaucracy and allow small businesses to thrive.

We also need to pass the SAVE Act to secure elections, I was proud to introduce this in the Senate with my friend, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT). Thanks to the hard work of Republican National Committee poll watchers and attorneys, we have increased accountability this election cycle. But thanks to the millions of illegal aliens that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have allowed into our country, many Americans still have legitimate questions about the integrity of the election. Without secure elections, there is no country. A federal law must be passed to ensure that only American citizens can participate in elections.

Additionally, woke transgender ideology must be removed from schools. This has been my top priority since I arrived in the Senate. Title IX was one of the best things ever introduced by Congress, but Joe Biden and Kamala Harris destroyed it. We need to work with President Trump to restore Title IX's original purpose of ensuring men and women have equal access to scholarships, opportunity, and competition. This shouldn't be controversial. Men should not compete with women and should not share locker rooms.

Finally, we must end America's involvement in endless wars and ensure that the American military remains the world's greatest fighting force. Since Joe Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the United States has been seen as a joke around the world. As a result, Russia, China, and Iran began to move. I was happy to see that Russia, Iran, and Hamas announced within 24 hours of President Trump's victory that they would seek peace. As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I look forward to passing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which focuses on strengthening our military and deterring our adversaries, rather than DEI training and pronoun enforcement.

With President Trump's victory, the nightmare has finally ended and morning has come in America. A majority of voters say they want America to return to greatness. President Trump's 2024 election campaign will go down as the biggest reversal in American political history. Under his leadership, America will indeed become great again. I look forward to working with President Trump to usher in a new Golden Age for all Americans.
