The Mets are reportedly looking to strengthen their pitching department by poaching players from the Yankees.
Desi Druschel, who has been the Yankees' assistant pitching coach since 2022, has been hired to the same position at Queen's, SNY reported on Monday.
The Mets and Yankees have not confirmed the development, but reports say Dorschel will work under pitching coach Jeremy Hefner after six seasons in pinstripes.
In 2019, the Yankees hired Draschel from the University of Iowa, where he was a pitching coach, to become the school's first minor league pitcher development manager.
He was promoted to the major league staff after the 2021 season, working under Matt Blake with an impressive pipeline to maximize his pitching skills.
Dorschel has a history with Mets manager Carlos Mendoza, and the two are on the same major league staff in the Bronx from 2022 to 2023.

He also has ties to Eric Jagers, the Mets' vice president of pitching. He was a pitcher at the University of Iowa when Draschel was pitching coach.
The Mets also poached the Yankees' pitching staff last winter, hiring Double-A Somerset's pitching coach Grayson Crawford to become Triple-A Syracuse's pitching coach.
