President-elect Donald Trump is expected to select South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem for the post of Homeland Security secretary, according to multiple reports Tuesday.
Noem, who was considered a running mate for Trump earlier this year, has been serving as Mount Rushmore governor since 2019.

The Department of Homeland Security is responsible for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Secret Intelligence Service, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
If elected, Noem will work alongside Tom Homan, who was announced as Trump's “border czar” on Sunday, and Stephen Miller, who was announced as White House chief of staff on Monday. I will do it.
