Veteran sharpshooter joining Unrivaled Basketball League

Another Washington Mystics standout will head to Miami for Unrivaled this offseason. Stephanie Dolson, the team's 32-year-old veteran sharpshooter, is the newest addition to the professional 3-on-3 league.

Dolson is an elite 3-point shooter who is averaging 8.9 points in 11 games. WNBA season. Last season, she shot a career-high 46.5% from 3-point range, making her one of the league's best scorers.

Dolson will be player number 32 to join Unrivaled, with four more players expected to be announced in the coming days. She is the fourth Washington Mystics player to join the new league, which promises fairness for players and will be broadcast on TNT.

How does Unrivaled work?

The premise of Unrivaled is simple. We take 36 of the best women's basketball players in the world, bring them to Miami for eight weeks, divide them into six teams, and have them play compressed, full-court 3-on-3 basketball. All will air multiple times a week on TNT, with player development being the top priority.

“Honestly, this is just an opportunity to create something really unique for the players and for the fans,” league president Alex Buzzell told SB Nation.
